Responsibilities Ability to coach and develop a team Assign work and verify completed correctly Enforce policies and procedures Delegate task and duties as needed Audit work and assignments Enforce and encourage Safe work environment Monitor workload using various WMS systems Other duties as assigned Required to frequently lift, slide, or stack cases that weigh up to 50-70 lbs safely Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead Must be able to work under deadline pressure as organizational skills are the key to finding and providing merchandise quickly.
Participate in all safety programs and required training; demonstrate behaviors with a clear safety focus for all employees and the community; engage in all plant initiatives, identify near miss incidents.
Troubleshooting issues related to Scale Address production and quality concerns Document coaching and concerns appropriately Monitor departments break and lunch schedule Monitor departments quality and productivity to meet expectations Crosstrain employees to perform all duties in assigned department Perform job duties to satisfactory levels in support of the business and the team.
This includes prompt arrival at start of shift and appropriate breaks.
Other duties as assigned Requirements:
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, read and write in English and understand numerical and alphabetical sequences.
Must be able to handle multiple priorities.
Must have exceptional attention to detail.
Knowledge of Great Plains/Manhattan Scale a plus.
Strong work ethic.
Able to work in a safe work environment by complying with environmental, health and safety standards.
Able to work overtime as required including weekends.
Able to give and receive positive and constructive feedback in a respectful and professional manner.
Requires the ability to complete forms and utilize RF scanner-Manhattan Scale System.
This position requires lifting up to 70 pounds, spending significant periods of time each day engaged in physical labor.
Climb stairs and ladders Be able to wear all required personal protective equipment Stand 80% of the time Education and/or
Experience:
Minimum 2 years related warehouse experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Distribution industry preferred.
